Cycling through red light |
||
|
Dear residents Cycling through red light on Putney High Street has been seen too often. Cyclists wait for pedestrian lights to turn green and then weave in between pedestrians. That is a breach of highway code and the fine for the offence is £50. Such riding can result in a collision and injuries. We remind the cyclists on hire bicycles to check if their insurance is in such cases void, and if a damage is caused who would be reliable. Thamesfield SNT PC and PCSO patrol Putney High Street and challenge cyclists, riders and drivers for any traffic offence committed to keep everyone safe. Please let us know if there are places where traffic enforcement is needed. Thank you, Eva and Damian. | ||
